A stunning and easy-to-assemble fruit display featuring fresh berries, melon balls, and a honey-lime drizzle, perfect for baby showers and parties.

Ingredients

  • Fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
  • Blueberries, washed
  • Raspberries, handled gently
  • Blackberries (optional)
  • Cantaloupe, scooped into melon balls
  • Honeydew melon, scooped into melon balls
  • Fresh mint leaves, washed and dried
  • Honey-lime drizzle (2 tablespoons honey, juice of 1 lime, pinch of salt)
  • Edible flowers (optional, such as pansies or violets)

Instructions

  1. Rinse all berries gently under cold water and pat dry with paper towels to avoid sogginess. Hull strawberries and cut them in halves or quarters depending on size. Using a melon baller, scoop out cantaloupe and honeydew into even-sized balls. Place all fruits separately in bowls to keep things organized. (About 15 minutes)
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together 2 tablespoons of honey, the juice of one lime (about 2 tablespoons), and a pinch of salt to make the honey-lime drizzle. Set aside. (5 minutes)
  3. Lay out your serving platter or tiered tray. Start by placing melon balls evenly across the surface to create a soft-colored base.
  4. Using tongs or a spoon, gently layer strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries in clusters over and around the melon balls. Balance colors and sizes for visual appeal. (About 10 minutes)
  5. Lightly drizzle the honey-lime mixture over the entire fruit display. Scatter fresh mint leaves evenly, tucking some between clusters for pops of green and refreshing aroma. If using edible flowers, place them delicately on top for a charming finish. (5 minutes)
  6. Adjust any fruit that looks crowded or uneven for a natural but thoughtfully arranged look. Cover lightly with plastic wrap and keep refrigerated until serving. (5 minutes)

Notes

Assemble the display no more than 2 hours before serving to prevent juice pooling and sogginess. Handle berries gently to avoid bruising. Use organic berries if possible for best flavor and purity. Edible flowers are optional but add a delicate touch. The honey-lime drizzle enhances flavor and helps preserve fruit shine.
