These classic sausage balls are a quick, delicious, and guaranteed crowd-pleaser, perfect for any occasion from holiday parties to game nights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups Bisquick
  • 1 pound ground sausage (mild, spicy, or breakfast sausage)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 ounces softened cream cheese
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it to prevent sticking.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine Bisquick, ground sausage, and shredded cheddar cheese. Mix well.
  3. Add softened cream cheese and milk to the bowl. Mix everything together until fully combined.
  4. Season the mixture with garlic powder, onion powder, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Adjust seasonings to taste.
  5. Using a cookie scoop or your hands, roll the mixture into 1-inch balls. Place them on the prepared baking sheet, leaving about an inch of space between each ball.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Let the sausage balls cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack. Serve warm for the best flavor.

Notes

[‘If the mixture feels too dry or crumbly while mixing, add another tablespoon of milk to help it come together.’, ‘Taste the raw mixture for seasoning before baking, but wash your hands afterward.’, ‘These sausage balls freeze beautifully—freeze uncooked on a baking sheet, then transfer to a zip-top bag. Bake straight from frozen with a few extra minutes of cooking time.’]
