A warm, creamy latte inspired by the nostalgic taste of sugar cookies, perfect for chilly winter mornings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup milk (whole, almond, or oat milk)
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 2 teaspoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee or espresso
  • Whipped cream (optional)
  • Festive sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Brew 1 cup of strong coffee or espresso and set aside.
  2. In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of milk, 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter, and 2 teaspoons of sugar. Heat over medium-low heat, whisking frequently, until the butter melts and the sugar dissolves. Do not let it boil.
  3. Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Whisk until well combined.
  4. Froth the milk using a milk frother, whisk vigorously, or use an immersion blender for a frothy texture.
  5. Pour the brewed coffee into a mug and slowly add the frothy milk mixture on top.
  6. Top with whipped cream and festive sprinkles, if desired.

Notes

[‘Don’t overheat the milk to avoid scalding.’, ‘Adjust sweetness to taste by starting with 2 teaspoons of sugar and adding more if needed.’, ‘Experiment with different milk types like oat or coconut milk for unique flavors.’, ‘Use high-quality coffee for the best flavor.’]
