A quick and easy party snack featuring fresh strawberries filled with a smooth, sweetened cream cheese mixture, perfect for any occasion.

  • 2024 large fresh strawberries
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream or whipping cream
  • Lemon zest from half a lemon (optional)
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry strawberries thoroughly.
  2. Hull strawberries by slicing off the green tops and coring out the center to create a small cup without piercing the bottom.
  3. In a medium bowl, beat softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract with a hand mixer until smooth and fluffy.
  4. Add heavy cream and lemon zest if using, then beat briefly to combine.
  5. Transfer the filling into a piping bag or resealable plastic bag with a small corner cut off.
  6. Pipe the filling into each hulled strawberry until generously filled but not overflowing.
  7. Place filled strawberries on a serving platter and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to set.
  8. Optionally garnish each strawberry with a fresh mint leaf before serving.

Notes

Soften cream cheese at room temperature for at least 30 minutes before mixing. If cream cheese is too cold, microwave for 10-15 seconds but do not melt. Piping the filling creates a neat presentation, but a spoon can be used as an alternative. Keep strawberries refrigerated until serving to maintain freshness and firmness.
