A comforting casserole featuring tender chicken, perfectly cooked spaghetti, and a creamy, cheesy sauce baked to perfection. Perfect for family dinners or potlucks.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 ounces spaghetti, cooked al dente
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced
  • 2 cups Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish lightly with cooking spray or butter.
  2. Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the spaghetti until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the softened cream cheese, chicken broth, heavy cream, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until smooth and lump-free.
  4. In a large bowl, toss the cooked spaghetti with the shredded chicken and creamy sauce until well-coated.
  5. Spread half of the spaghetti mixture into the greased baking dish. Sprinkle half of the Monterey Jack cheese on top. Add the remaining spaghetti mixture and finish with the rest of the cheese.
  6. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for another 10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  7. Sprinkle chopped parsley on top and let the bake cool slightly before serving.

Notes

[‘If the sauce seems too thick, add a splash of milk or chicken broth before combining it with the spaghetti.’, ‘Cook the spaghetti al dente to prevent it from becoming mushy while baking.’, ‘Use freshly shredded cheese for better melting.’, ‘Let the dish rest for 5-10 minutes after baking for easier slicing.’, ‘This dish freezes well; make an extra batch for busy nights.’]
