A quick and easy overnight oats recipe that combines creamy cream cheese, Greek yogurt, and fresh strawberries for a breakfast that tastes like cheesecake but requires no baking.

Ingredients

Scale
  • ½ cup rolled oats (40g)
  • 2 tablespoons cream cheese, softened (full-fat)
  • ¼ cup Greek yogurt (60g), plain or vanilla
  • ½ cup milk (120ml), any type (almond, oat, or cow’s milk)
  • ½ cup strawberries (75g), chopped fresh or thawed frozen
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Soften the cream cheese by leaving it out for 15 minutes or microwaving for 10 seconds until spreadable but not melted.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together softened cream cheese, Greek yogurt, vanilla extract, and honey or maple syrup until smooth and lump-free (about 3 minutes).
  3. Pour in the milk and whisk until the mixture is creamy and pourable.
  4. Add rolled oats and chia seeds (if using), mixing thoroughly to coat every oat.
  5. Gently fold in chopped strawberries and lemon zest.
  6. Spoon the mixture into 2 small mason jars or airtight containers. Seal tightly and refrigerate for at least 6 hours or overnight.
  7. In the morning, stir the oats. If too thick, add a splash of milk to loosen. Top with extra fresh strawberries or crushed candied pecans if desired.

Notes

Soften cream cheese well to avoid lumps. Use old-fashioned rolled oats for best texture. Thaw and drain frozen strawberries before use to prevent watery oats. Adjust sweetness to taste. For vegan version, use dairy-free cream cheese, plant-based yogurt, plant milk, and maple syrup instead of honey.
