These no-bake peanut butter protein balls combine creamy peanut butter, honey, oats, and protein powder for a quick, easy, and satisfying energy boost perfect for snacks or post-workout fuel.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup creamy or natural peanut butter (about 250 ml)
  • 1 1/2 cups rolled oats (135 g)
  • 1/3 cup honey (113 g)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (5 ml)
  • 1/2 cup protein powder (50 g), vanilla-flavored recommended
  • 2 tablespoons chia seeds or flaxseeds (20 g, optional)
  • 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips (40 g, optional)
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 cup peanut butter, 1/3 cup honey, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Stir until smooth and well blended, about 2 minutes.
  2. Add 1 1/2 cups rolled oats, 1/2 cup protein powder, 2 tablespoons chia or flaxseeds if using, and a pinch of salt. Stir gently until fully incorporated and mixture holds together when pressed.
  3. Fold in 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips if desired, distributing evenly.
  4. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for 20 to 30 minutes to firm up the mixture.
  5. Scoop about 1 tablespoon of mixture and roll between palms to form 1-inch diameter balls. If sticky, wet hands slightly or chill another 10 minutes.
  6. Place balls on parchment-lined baking sheet or plate and refrigerate for 15 minutes to firm up before serving or storing.

Notes

Stir natural peanut butter well before measuring to avoid greasy balls. Chilling the mixture is crucial for easy rolling and good texture. Adjust oats or protein powder to firm up mixture if needed. Wet hands slightly to prevent sticking when rolling. Store in airtight container in fridge up to 1 week or freeze up to 3 months.
