These easy turkey avocado pinwheel wraps are a quick, nutritious, and kid-approved lunch option featuring creamy avocado, turkey slices, spinach, and cream cheese rolled in soft tortillas. Perfect for busy mornings and portable school lunches.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Large flour tortillas (10-inch)
  • 68 ounces turkey breast slices (deli-style or leftover roasted turkey)
  • 1 medium ripe avocado, mashed
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup fresh spinach leaves, packed
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional add-ins: thinly sliced cucumber, shredded carrots, or bell pepper strips

Instructions

  1. Cut the ripe avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a bowl. Mash with a fork until mostly smooth but still a bit chunky. Stir in lemon juice, salt, and pepper. (About 5 minutes)
  2. Place one large flour tortilla flat on a clean surface. Spread a thin, even layer of softened cream cheese over the tortilla, leaving about a 1/2 inch border around the edges. (2-3 minutes)
  3. Arrange turkey breast slices evenly on top of the cream cheese layer, covering most of the tortilla. Add fresh spinach leaves evenly on top of the turkey. Sprinkle optional veggies if using. (3-4 minutes)
  4. Drop spoonfuls of the mashed avocado mixture evenly over the layered ingredients and gently spread without tearing the tortilla. (2 minutes)
  5. Starting at one edge, carefully roll the tortilla into a tight log, keeping layers snug but not squashed. (2 minutes)
  6. Wrap the rolled tortilla tightly in plastic wrap or parchment paper and refrigerate for at least 10 minutes to firm up. (10-15 minutes)
  7. Using a sharp serrated knife, slice the rolled wrap into 1-inch thick rounds. Arrange on a plate or pack into lunchboxes. (3-5 minutes)

Notes

Use ripe but firm avocados to avoid mushy filling. Soften cream cheese to prevent tearing tortillas. Chill wraps before slicing for cleaner cuts. Optional add-ins like cucumber or shredded carrots add crunch. Can substitute turkey with smoked chicken, ham, or roasted veggies for variations. Prepare night before for convenience. Avoid freezing due to texture changes.
