A quick and easy snack featuring juicy orange slices paired with a warm, sweet cinnamon sugar dipping sauce that’s perfect for game day or any time you need a flavorful treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 large navel oranges, peeled and sliced into wedges
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar (white or turbinado)
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions

  1. Peel and slice the 3 large navel oranges into wedges, removing any seeds. Keep slices uniform in size.
  2. In a small bowl, combine 2 tablespoons granulated sugar and 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, stirring to mix evenly.
  3. Add 1 tablespoon of melted unsalted butter (warm, not hot) to the cinnamon sugar mixture and stir gently until thick and glossy.
  4. Optionally, add 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract and mix well.
  5. Arrange orange slices on a serving platter and place the cinnamon sugar dipping sauce in a small bowl alongside for dipping.

Notes

If the dipping sauce is too thick, add a splash of warm water or milk to loosen. If too runny, add more sugar and stir. Use firm, ripe oranges for best texture. Prepare orange slices just before serving to avoid sogginess. The dipping sauce can be refrigerated for 2-3 days and gently warmed before reuse.
