  • 2 tablespoons white wine vinegar
  • 1 medium-sized shallot, finely minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon fresh cracked black pepper
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 teaspoon honey (optional)

Instructions

  1. Peel and finely mince one medium-sized shallot into small, even pieces.
  2. In a small mixing bowl, combine 3 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar and 2 tablespoons of white wine vinegar.
  3. Stir the minced shallots into the vinegar mixture.
  4. Sprinkle in 1/4 teaspoon of cracked black pepper and a pinch of salt. Taste and adjust if needed.
  5. If desired, stir in 1 teaspoon of honey until fully dissolved.
  6. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  7. Serve the mignonette chilled over freshly shucked oysters.
