  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh herbs (dill or parsley), chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together softened butter, honey, minced garlic, lemon juice, and Dijon mustard until smooth.
  3. Pat salmon fillets dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
  4. Season each fillet evenly with kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper.
  5. Place salmon fillets skin-side down on a lined baking dish, spacing about an inch apart.
  6. Brush the honey butter glaze generously over the top of each fillet.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, depending on fillet thickness (about 13 minutes for 1-inch thick). Salmon is done when it flakes easily and reaches an internal temperature of 125°F (52°C).
  8. Optional: Broil for the last 2 minutes for a slight caramelized crisp, watching carefully to avoid burning.
