A crisp, bubbly summer cocktail combining tart cranberry juice, zesty lime, smooth vodka, and sparkling water for a light, refreshing drink perfect for gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 oz vodka (e.g., Tito’s Handmade Vodka)
  • 3 oz cranberry juice (unsweetened or lightly sweetened)
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • 3 oz sparkling water or club soda, chilled
  • 0.5 oz simple syrup (adjust to taste)
  • Fresh cranberries for garnish (optional)
  • Lime wedges for garnish
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Chill a highball or Collins glass in the fridge or freezer for about 10 minutes.
  2. If making homemade simple syrup, combine equal parts sugar and water in a saucepan over medium heat, stir until sugar dissolves, then cool completely.
  3. Juice one lime to get 1 oz fresh lime juice, removing any seeds.
  4. In a cocktail shaker filled halfway with ice, combine 2 oz vodka, 3 oz cranberry juice, 1 oz fresh lime juice, and 0.5 oz simple syrup.
  5. Shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until well chilled.
  6. Remove the chilled glass and fill it with fresh ice cubes.
  7. Strain the cocktail mixture over the ice, leaving some room at the top.
  8. Slowly top with 3 oz sparkling water or club soda and gently stir to combine without losing fizz.
  9. Garnish with fresh cranberries and a lime wedge on the rim and serve immediately.

Notes

Use freshly squeezed lime juice for best flavor. Use large ice cubes to avoid quick dilution. Add sparkling water last and stir gently to keep bubbles. Adjust simple syrup and lime juice to balance sweetness and tartness. Can substitute vodka with gin or use sparkling lemonade for a sweeter spritz. For a low-alcohol version, reduce vodka and increase sparkling water.
