Refreshing Protein Diet Coke Recipe

A quick and easy protein-infused Diet Coke drink that provides a healthy boost with a creamy texture and refreshing fizz, perfect for post-workout or anytime refreshment.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (8 fl oz / 240 ml) chilled Diet Coke
  • 1 scoop (about 30g) unflavored or vanilla whey or plant-based protein powder
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) fresh lime juice (optional)
  • A handful of ice cubes
  • 23 fresh mint leaves (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Scoop 1 serving (about 30g) of protein powder into a shaker bottle or mixing glass.
  2. Add 2-3 tablespoons (30-45 ml) of cold water or Diet Coke to the protein powder.
  3. Close the lid tightly and shake vigorously for 20-30 seconds until smooth and lump-free. If mixing by hand, use a small whisk or spoon to blend thoroughly.
  4. Stir in 1 teaspoon (5 ml) of freshly squeezed lime juice into the protein mixture (optional).
  5. Slowly pour 1 cup (240 ml) of chilled Diet Coke into the protein-lime mixture.
  6. Add a handful of ice cubes to your serving glass.
  7. Stir the combined drink gently to mix without losing too much fizz.
  8. Garnish with 2-3 fresh mint leaves and serve immediately.

Notes

Pre-mix protein powder with water or a small amount of Diet Coke to avoid clumps. Stir gently after adding soda to preserve carbonation. Use unflavored or vanilla protein powders for best taste and texture. Consume immediately for best fizz and flavor. Refrigerate protein mixture separately if preparing ahead and add soda just before serving.
