Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 slices turkey breast (about 1 lb, deli-sliced or homemade, preferably thick-cut)
  • 2 cups stuffing mix (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped celery
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried sage or poultry seasoning
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 1/2 cups turkey or chicken gravy (homemade or store-bought)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Optional: 1/2 cup shredded cheese (Swiss or mozzarella)
  • Optional: 1/2 cup cooked cranberry sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or nonstick spray.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine stuffing mix, chicken broth, melted butter, celery, onion, and sage. Stir until well moistened but not soupy. Let sit for 5 minutes to absorb liquid.
  3. Lay each turkey slice flat. Place about 2 tablespoons of stuffing mixture at one end of each slice. Roll up gently, tucking in sides if possible. Place seam-side down in the baking dish.
  4. Pour gravy evenly over roll ups. If using cheese or cranberry sauce, sprinkle or dollop over roll ups before covering with gravy.
  5. Cover dish loosely with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 10–15 minutes, until gravy bubbles and stuffing edges are golden.
  6. Sprinkle fresh parsley over the top and let rest for 5 minutes before serving. Serve warm, spooning extra gravy over each portion.

Notes

Double up turkey slices if thin. Use gluten-free stuffing and gravy for GF version. Substitute ham or chicken for turkey if desired. Add sautéed mushrooms or roasted squash for a seasonal twist. Rest roll ups after baking for easier serving. Freeze leftovers for up to 2 months.
