These cookies combine creamy peanut butter and colorful M&Ms for a soft, chewy treat that’s perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup M&Ms (regular or peanut)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, peanut butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy (about 2 minutes).
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring just until combined. Avoid overmixing.
  6. Gently fold in the M&Ms, making sure they’re evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  7. Using a cookie scoop or spoon, drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set but the centers still look slightly underbaked.
  9. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring them to a cooling rack to cool completely.

Notes

[‘If the dough feels too sticky, refrigerate it for 30 minutes before scooping.’, ‘Press a few extra M&Ms into each cookie before baking for a picture-perfect finish.’, ‘Don’t overbake the cookies; they will continue to set as they cool.’]
